So my Dad says.....

..."I've made you a new place to take some pictures." It seems he had part of a large oak tree break off and fall during a storm a few weeks ago, and my dad, being one of those who doesn't waste a good tree, saw an opportunity for a great place to make a picture (hmmm, maybe that's where I got it from?). He removed the split part of the oak, sawed the trunk off level and filled the hole with concrete to make a seat. Anna Jo tested it for us this weekend. Thanks, Dad! It's perfect!! This is my Dad. He knows a thing or two about trees. He's been in the timber business for about 50 years.

And, of course, I'm an equal opportunity Daddy. So here's a couple of Madsy.

Dawg-Gone it!

When I was a kid, the "big treat" was going to "feed the fox". I'd ride in my Dad's lap down miles of sandy roads through scrub oaks and palmettos to throw out what we knew as "chicken necks" to the foxes. My Dad was a fox hunter. After they built the Sandsifters Fox Pen I'd spend countless hours listening to stories and barking dogs late into the night. On Saturday I had the chance to return to that same fox pen, this time with camera in hand to photograph a friend of my family and his pals.

The Picture Makin' Cowgirl

Here's a few from this cowgirl's Senior Session. It's always fun to photograph someone who also is into photography. Check out Holly's blog HERE. Had a blast on Tuesday!

Sweeet Caroline...

When Brooke and I began our relationship there was a sweet little red-headed girl that followed us everywhere we went. In fact, she'd just had her first birthday party. Over time that same little girl tagged along to airshows, NASCAR races and all kinds of other adventures. Now she's right beside me, camera in hand. And she takes some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. Today that sweet little red-headed girl turns 15. Happy Birthday to a beautiful young lady. Happy Birthday Caroline!

A "Bonus"

Just over a year ago, while I was trying to talk Brooke into letting me start B's Photo, I explained some of the benefits of being a photographer. The only way I could convince her to let me spend the money on the camera equipment was to assure her that we would be sure to have an abundance of pictures of our girls. Yes, our clients do come first, but often we get a "bonus" when we go on location and have the extra time to get in a few shots of our little ladies. Labor Day was one of those "bonus" days. Thanks to Jonathan and Sandi for letting our girls tag along on your photo session! Here's just a few of the pictures of AJ and Madsy.

Greatness

My brother made a touching post on Facebook last night- I'd like to repost it here: "Not so many years ago I went to a small townhouse in Tallahassee to meet the baby boy that had made me an uncle. The years have flown by and I have watched with quiet interest as he grew up and I grew older. Today he returned home with his wife , bringing his son with him and His family is complete! Jamey , your gonna be a great Dad! Welcome home Judson . . Welcome home" -Jim Hall
I clouldn't have said it better, big brother. Welcome to the world- Our Great Nephew Judson J. "Judd" Shuler!
